Instructions

Craft Time: ~1.5 hours total (~15 minutes per card)

For Each Card

  • Fold the card along the score line, with the small bump on the inside. Use the bone folder for a crisp fold.

  • Prepare the glue bottle: Open the lid, remove the stopper, and screw the valve cap back on.

  • Use a small amount of glue to prevent paper warping.

  • Lay out all pieces before attaching them. Follow the steps below for the correct layering order.

  • Foam adhesives: Use wherever you’d like to add dimension.

  • Inside sentiments: These are optional. Add them if you’d like!

Card #1: Congrats Flower

  • Add small dots of glue around the edges of the vellum sheet and attach it to the card front.

  • Glue the blue frame on top of the vellum.

  • Glue the pink flower piece over the outline.

  • Glue the green stem piece on top of the pink flower piece.

  • Glue the “congrats” piece on top of the banner backer, then attach the banner onto the card using foam adhesive.

  • Add three rose gold enamel circles.

Card #2: Good Job

  • Glue the pink scalloped panel to the card front, following the outline.

  • Add enamel shapes to the butterfly cut-out, following the outlines.

  • Attach the butterfly over its outline using foam adhesive.

  • Attach the “Good job” piece over its outline using foam adhesive.

Card #3: Best Wishes

  • Attach the “Best Wishes” piece using foam adhesive, following the outline.

  • Glue the green stems to their outlines.

  • Add blue enamel circles to their corresponding outlines.

Card #4: Proud of You

  • Attach butterfly wings to each outline using foam adhesive.

  • Add an enamel butterfly body to each set of wings. The top row of the enamel shapes sheet has taller bodies, and the bottom row has shorter bodies. Use the taller bodies for butterflies with a narrower space between the wings and the shorter bodies for butterflies with a wider space.

  • Glue the scalloped frame to the card front, then attach the “I’m so proud of you” piece on top using foam adhesive.

Card #5: Butterfly Frame

  • Fold all score lines in an accordion pattern. Use the bone folder for crisp folds.

  • Glue the blue floral piece to the bottom of the inside panel (patterned section).

  • Glue the green stem piece on top of the blue floral piece.

  • Peel the protective film from both sides of the acetate sheet. Remove the adhesive backing from one section of the card front frame (dark blue area), carefully align and attach the acetate, then remove the remaining backings and press to secure.

  • Add enamel shapes to the butterfly wings, following the outlines.

  • Attach the butterfly to the acetate using foam adhesive.

  • Lay the card face down and gently press the side accordion flap closed to flatten the card. Then peel off the adhesive backing on the flap, apply a small amount of glue, and press it closed. This will help the card close flat and fit into the envelope.

  • Glue your choice of card back—with or without a sentiment—over the back of the card, covering the accordion flap seam.

Card #6: Congratulations

  • Fold the green rectangular piece along all score lines. Remove the adhesive backing, add a few small dots of glue, and fold it into a rectangular box. Set aside to dry.

  • Glue the “Congratulations!” oval to the card front, covering the outline.

  • Attach three butterflies using foam adhesive.

  • Add three rose gold enamel circles.

  • Glue each flower piece to its coordinating letter on the green outline piece.

  • Glue the “You Did It!” piece to the green outline.

  • Glue the green rectangular box inside the card, following the outline. Add glue to both sides, then close the card and press firmly to secure it and ensure it folds properly.

  • Once dry, glue the finished flower “You Did It!” piece to the front of the pop-up box.

  • Finish by adding two butterflies inside the card using foam adhesive.
