For Each Card
-
Fold the card along the score line, with the small bump on the inside. Use the bone folder for a crisp fold.
-
Prepare the glue bottle: Open the lid, remove the stopper, and screw the valve cap back on.
-
Use a small amount of glue to prevent paper warping.
-
Lay out all pieces before attaching them. Follow the steps below for the correct layering order.
-
Foam adhesives: Use wherever you’d like to add dimension.
-
Inside sentiments: These are optional. Add them if you’d like!
Card #1: Beautiful Day
-
Glue the dark green leaf halves to the light green leaf piece. Place the striped piece on the top right and the solid piece on the bottom left.
-
Glue the finished stem piece to the card front, covering the outline.
-
Glue the tulip to the card front, covering the outline.
-
Glue the ladybug to a leaf wherever you’d like, then add the enamel body to the center.
-
Add three clear enamel dots wherever you’d like.
Card #2: Oh Happy Day
-
Glue the scalloped panel to the card front, covering the outline.
-
Glue each letter over its outline, starting with “O” and alternating every other letter. Glue the rainbow arch over its outline.
-
Add the enamel shapes over their outlines.
Card #3: Hey There
-
Attach the “Hey There” piece to the gold foil piece using foam adhesive. Foam adhesive is recommended here, as glue may not hold securely to the foil over time.
-
Attach the centers of each “e” using foam adhesive. Cut the foam adhesive in half, if desired, to keep it from showing.
-
Glue each flower over its outline on the “Hey There” piece.
-
Attach the finished “Hey There” piece to the card front using foam adhesive.
-
Add enamel shapes to the center of the blue flower and over the outlines above the pink flower.
Card #4: Hello There Friend
-
Glue the flower and rainbow arches to the card front, covering their outlines.
-
Add the enamel shapes over their corresponding outlines (hearts, rainbow, and dots).
Card #5: Hi Friend
-
Glue the white panel to the card front.
-
Attach the “Hi” piece and the “i” dot over their outlines using foam adhesive.
-
Attach the “Friend” piece over its outline using foam adhesive.
-
Add enamel flowers over each outline.
Card #6: Hello Sunshine
-
Fold all score lines in an accordion pattern. Use the bone folder for crisp folds.
-
Peel the protective film from the back of the “Hello” acetate sheet. Remove the adhesive backing from one section of the card front frame, carefully align and attach the acetate, then remove the remaining backings and press to secure.
-
Attach the rainbow arches over their outlines using foam adhesive. Keep them within the edges of the card so it folds properly.
-
Glue the clouds on top of the rainbow arches, adding a few small dots of glue directly to the arches.
-
Add clear enamel dots wherever you’d like.
-
Lay the card face down and gently press the side accordion flap closed to flatten the card. Then peel off the adhesive backing on the flap, apply a small amount of glue, and press it closed. This will help the card close flat and fit into the envelope.
-
Glue your choice of card back—with or without a sentiment—over the back of the card, covering the accordion flap seam.
