Instructions 

Craft Time: ~30 minutes

Build your truck:

  1. Prepare the glue bottle — Open the lid, remove the stopper, and screw the valve cap back on.  

  2. Remove the truck from the envelope and fold along all the score lines to give it shape.

  3. Working one section at a time, peel off the adhesive backing on the flaps, then add a few dots of glue to the adhesive strip for extra hold. 
    Start with the large flap at the back of the truck to initiate the structure and add stability. 

  4. Fold each adhesive flap into position and press firmly to secure it in place and build your truck.

Embellish your truck:

Striped Side Panels

  1. Locate the two striped side pieces.

  2. Align the panels by matching up the wheel wells and edges of the truck. See postcard photo insert for reference.

  3. Glue one side panel onto each side of the truck.

Wheels & Hubcaps

  1. Locate the wheels and hubcaps.

  2. Glue one hubcap onto the center of each wheel.

  3. Glue the completed wheel onto the truck in their marked positions.

Bumpers

  1. Find the two silver bumper pieces.

  2. Fold each piece along the score lines.

  3. Glue them into place, using the score lines on the bumpers to ensure correct placement. The longer bumper will go on the back of the truck.

Envelope and Enamel Shapes

  1. Locate the white envelope piece. Fold along the score lines and glue the two flaps down. The piece should now look like a finished envelope.

  2. Glue envelope to the back of the truck, making sure the folded side is facing outward.

  3. Peel and stick the clear enamel rectangle piece to the front of the license plate (LUVMAIL) piece, smoothing out any bubbles.

  4. Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the license plate and attach it to the back bumper. 

  5. Peel and stick the two white enamel hearts to the front of the truck as headlights.

  6. Peel and stick the four small hearts to the back of the truck as taillights, placing two hearts on each side, stacking one above the other.
