Instructions
Craft Time: ~45 minutes
Make Pom-Poms
1. Prepare the yarn
-
Remove one bundle of yarn from the yarn holder.
-
Cut off two pieces of yarn (one 10-inch and one 8-inch) from the yarn bundle and set them aside. You'll use these pieces later to tie the pom-pom together and attach it to the wreath.
2. Wrap the yarn
-
Holding the Pom-Pom Maker closed, wrap the yarn around the pom-pom marker until you get to the end of the bundle. Be sure to spread the yarn out around the tool as you wrap it to keep the pom-pom symmetrical.
3. Tie the center
-
Thread the 10-inch yarn piece you cut earlier through the center slot of the pom-pom maker. Wrap it around the yarn to the other side.
-
Pull it tightly around the center of the wrapped yarn and tie a secure double knot.
4. Cut the loops
-
Using scissors, cut along the groove on one side of the tool.
-
Repeat on the opposite side until all the loops have been cut.
5. Remove the Pom-Pom
-
Open the Pom-Pom Maker and remove the pom-pom.
-
Fluff and trim the pom-pom as needed to create a nice round shape.
Attach Pom-Pom to the wreath
1. Take the 8-inch piece of yarn you previously cut and thread it under the center knot of the pom-pom.
-
Thread both ends of the yarn through two holes in the wreath frame.
-
Tie a secure knot on the back of the frame and trim any excess yarn.
2. Repeat
-
Continue making and attaching pom-poms until the wreath is complete.
3. Shape
-
Fluff and trim off any excess yarn to make it symmetrical.
